I was so fortunate to stumble upon this magical little garden in York today. Behind a large black door with an impressive knocker there was a long passage that led into a pretty little garden lit with candles. It was surrounded with beautiful stained glass windows that glowed in the candlelight, the photos here just do not do it justice. I know its the middle of winter but this little garden must dwell in the land of Fae as it was as colourful as a summers day!

It will soon be the longest night!
I love the changing of the seasons and winter is the coldest but the most magical. The lord of the hunt rides the night sky and the earth sleeps in her white and glittering dress. We are warm and cosy by the fire, the flickering flames crackle and whisper of new life stirring and growing beneath us, with a promise of the suns return.
